since i am 999 years behind on updating the blog, you cant really expect me to remember what keya was actually doing when she was 18 months right? all i know is she talks non stop and has been for a while, shes very precocious and obviously shes the most amazing human being on planet earth in my opinion. and shes tall. real tall.

11 months!

Bear, i think its really swell that you care so much about me to show up once a month and celebrate my birthday. its really special.
so how old am i anyway? man thats a lot of months.

my little baby bear is a huge baby bear in all actuality. i cant believe next month she will be a YEAR OLD. HOLY CRAP. AM I OLD ENOUGH TO BE A MOTHER TO A 1 YEAR OLD CHILD? NO, I AM NOT. THAT IS THE ANSWER. IM NOT. BUT ALAS, I GUESS I AM. ok im calm. alright so this kid has two teeth still, but 4 on the horizon. she crawls all over the place, plays with all her toys, but is in love with her ladybug pillows, especially the pillowPET vs the pillowCHUM (the cheaper cousin to the PET - she already knows quality). she high fives, eats lasagna, pasta, pizza (made on a wheat mini sandwich thin thank you), and basically has the worst food jealousy of all time. if she sees me eating in particular, she goes crazy, she prob is like dang ma, you dont need that, dangggggggggggg. you know? anywho, what else, she waves, plays, and is generally the cutest human being alive. we love her and her big feet and her fat cheeks and chunky thighs and giant eyeballs. everything about her is just loveable. my boo. jfklaj;fkdsl;fda.

6 months!

Bear, this movie was a great suggestion. i wonder why the parents keep missing the baby by just a few minutes. i dont think a baby could crawl around chicago all day do you? hes kinda cute though, this baby. hollerrrrr.

our little dumpling head is 6 months old already! its crazy how fast time flies. shes getting cuter and cuter each day and i love her so much. shes starting to express herself more and more and she has a very loud voice...like me! yay. i cant even imagine life without her or what my "old" life was like now. it seems so long ago, which is so weird. i love being a mom and love my little fat cheeks more than anything in the world.

baby stats:

weight: 16lbs 4oz (50%)
height: just shy of 27 inches (83%)
head: gigantic (85%)
basically shes like a bobble headed baby super model. long and thin with a giant head. or a brontasauraus. i prefer baby super model.
she can: roll over from stomach to back, back to stomach. sit up for 20-30 seconds but has not mastered the "lets stop ourselves from falling over" reflex. she prefers to stand at all times, and shes showing the inclination to crawl - but not the motor skills yet. ha. shes certainly strong enough though.
she can babble and says dadada (much to my dismay) and ya ya ya.
places travelled: dublin, ohio; seattle, washington; cabo san lucas, mexico. we have some fun trips planned over the next 3 months so the list will continue to grow. jake and i were well travelled children and we want to do the same thing with our kid - especially while she isnt mobile!

5 months!

so anyways, i was just chillin with him at the mall and then he just left!

wait. if i pull this skirt, you dont see my diaper! AHAHH.

kay is 5 months old and she is a star. she is starting to get in the super cute adorable baby stage and we love it. i cant wait for the next few months to have even more fun with her before she starts getting...mobile. its nice that if we leave her somewhere, we know she will still be there when we come back. its gonna be scary once she starts crawling and walking!

k fun facts:
-starting to finally grow some hair on that round head
-can roll over from tummy to back both ways (although there are days where she pretends not to remember how, little punk)
-can do tummy time for about 25 minutes straight before she starts losing it, which i think is pretty awesome actually
-can play independently for approx 45 minutes (on her play mat) before she gets bored and wants attention
-drools a lot
-smiles ALL the time, shes such a star
-plays with her feet
-eats her hands now because we think she is teething
-takes 2 naps a day, approx 3 hours total and sleeps approx 12 hours through the night...although she has started randomly crying in the middle of the night, so we have to go in there and stick the binky in her mouth and she falls back assleep
-can somehow completely get out of her miracle blanket, turn 90 degs, kick her legs up in the air and manage to only have her head on the mattress of her crib...and lays there for who knows how long because she was singing when we found her like that
-likes peekaboo and my random crazy singing and dancing
-loves her pink pig from target, which incidentally puts her right to sleep when we are in the car, so we love it too
-has tried the following baby foods: bananas, peaches, apples, pears, sweet potatos, green beans, sweet peas, and carrots so far. we are gonna try mangos and prunes next. the only thing that didnt suit her were carrots, hopefully everythin else will sit well with her.

anyway - that was more for me as a reminder of her milestones, but you must love K-rex if you have read this far down. dorks.

4 months old!

keya: AHAHAHA The Bear, hes so stoopid

-one day The Bear photo session will not end with her falling over somehow...

MY BABY IS 4 MONTHS OLD ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok im calm. what the heck though, how did this happen. shes soooooooooooooooooooo old, shes like...old man. my cutie little bootie is 13lbs 4oz and 24.5inches long. shes almost as tall as her ma! i love her so much, shes playing on her own now, laughs all time, loves to drool on us, and is just all around the cutest little bootie. last month she rolled over a few times (but shes pretty lazy), started sleeping through the night like 12 hours not the technical 5 hours aka AWESOMENESS, and started becoming more independent. she now knows she has hands and really likes her firefly rattle. she also loves her ocean wonders mat, she can play on it for almost an entire hour! and her cheeks are as fat as ever. love my little baby dolly. but for rull, shes old.

three months!!!!!!!!!!!!

im gonna go ahead and throw out that keya doesnt know how to sit up yet, which is slightly noticeable based on the pictures above. o. but my little kay kay is three months old and more amazing than ever. her cheeks continue to get bigger and she continues to get smarter. she is learning that she has hands, can sit alone for long amounts of time, is almost taller than me, and tries to talk...a lot. she is absolutely adorable and im so proud to be her mother. i love my baby!!!!!!!!!
