i took keya to the oconomowac kids festival in early august which was fun in itself and while we were there, i obviously stopped at every stand to steal candy, keychains, and other cool things from all the advertisers. well it paid off because i met a woman who worked as the counselor for a local lutheran school right in hartland and she was promoting a new preschool class they just opened up for 2 year olds! i was apprehensive to even give what she was saying and what the pamphlet said a chance, but i talked with my good friend jessica and she said she was also interested in putting lachlan in the same program. that made me feel better and after researching the school and finding out how great it is, we "interviewed" to make sure keya would be a good fit in the program (technically she had to be 2 on 9/1, so they wanted to see if she would be able to handle the program being one of the youngest in the class).
She started right after labor day and the first week was a disaster. Most of the kids cried, setting each other off, and I was super stressed out because keya hated it and i hated that! i just want her to be happy and have fun. after talking about school constantly with her at home, she finally decided to give it a chance and by the 3rd day of class, she loved it. now i seriously have to drag her out of there. every kid is so happy to see his or her mommy when class is over and keya hides from me because she wants to keep playing. sweet! whatever, ill take that vs a crying clingy baby any day - and atleast i know she loves it! im so thankful for this class, the teacher and her helper, who is basically a second teacher, are both awesome and its really helped keya socialize, meet new friends, and will be really great when she has a new sibling to get used to!
