keyas new friend josie came to town to visit her. shes usually the baby amongst jakes friends kids (which are very few), so she was excited to be a big girl/ sean and sarah brought over some REAL good italian deli subs, oh man. mmmmmmmmmmmm. meatball. sandwich. oh my.

happy valentines day! i spent my valentines day with jakey and my baby and it was so fun. jake got keya the cutest j.lo outfit with a bib and everything all by himself. i got a cool new travelling diaper bag (holler) ((yes i wanted a diaper bag, sigh)) and keya and i got jake some cool toms! jakey also got me a really beautiful bouquet of flowers. we had so much fun today and even got to go on a really nice long walk in this beautiful warm 40 degree weather. i am so lucky to have such a great husband who makes it feel like valentines day all the time, he is always surprising me with cards, notes, little gifts, and flowers - hes the best! sorry for a cheeseball post, but i heart vday :)

MY BABY IS 4 MONTHS OLD ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok im calm. what the heck though, how did this happen. shes soooooooooooooooooooo old, shes like...old man. my cutie little bootie is 13lbs 4oz and 24.5inches long. shes almost as tall as her ma! i love her so much, shes playing on her own now, laughs all time, loves to drool on us, and is just all around the cutest little bootie. last month she rolled over a few times (but shes pretty lazy), started sleeping through the night like 12 hours not the technical 5 hours aka AWESOMENESS, and started becoming more independent. she now knows she has hands and really likes her firefly rattle. she also loves her ocean wonders mat, she can play on it for almost an entire hour! and her cheeks are as fat as ever. love my little baby dolly. but for rull, shes old.

well, getting forced to watch every single packers game this season paid off as they somehow made it to the superbowl and actually won. and it was a good game. my inlaws came over and so did jon, mary, and adam. they had a little surprise for the babies to wear in honor of the pack...

next generation

ayaan and keya hung out this weekend, although ayaan said "i tink baby kay kay a monsta" listen kid, shes not. god. they did have a tender moment playing on the rainforest mat. i dont know if ayaan was having memories of himself playing on the mat at work with me trying to get him to roll over and yelling at him telling him hes lazy (which i now do with my own child) ((am i a tiger mother in the making? - i did agree with a few things that lady said in her article)) anywho, i digress. it was a fun and relaxing day at home with nadia and tariq and the little children.

in other news, im waiting for the weather to start getting better. im so sick of the 930853 feet of snow - we did survive the blizzard and actually did not go to marshalls or target during it, and that took a lot of will power. our new treadmill came in last week, so now jake and i have no excuses. what a shame. ive started cooking again and it feels good to be back in the kitchen and trying out some new receipes and being creative with my limited time. after i got pregnant, i couldnt even go in the kitchen, i would instantly throw up. it was horrible.

anywho, not much to report - gearing up for keyas 4 month check - aka shots, weaning her off the miracle blanket (thank you for all that you have done), and her first bites of cereal - i will for sure have an emotional breakdown at how old she is at that point. we are also gonna have a nice family valentines day and then next week head off to seattle - keyas first plane ride and my first time there to celebrate cousin ro's first birthday!!!
